BEE CONTROL

There are thousands of bee and wasp species; Some are carnivorous and eat other insects. Others provide us with honey, or they pollinate a large portion of our food supply. However, some are inherently more aggressive and will sting humans, sometimes generating allergic reactions, or they build their colonies near or inside of homes, and these are the ones that we label as 'pests.'

DO NOT seal up their entrance. If you see one of these 'pests' entering into a crack outside of your home, the most common mistake a homeowner makes is to seal up the crack, which is their doorway to and from their nest. If it is sealed up, those on the inside cannot get out, and they will look for an alternative doorway that could create a pathway into your home. We have seen hundreds of wasps flying around in homes, which is extremely difficult to manage. They can become angry and dangerous, so do not seal up the cracks until the area has been treated. 

This is a picture of a wasp nest located six feet into the home wall that was found during a kitchen remodel 3 years after we treated the outside crack in the house. This large wasp nest was inactive because we had treated the small crack as soon as the homeowner spotted the activity near the front entryway.
