SILVERFISH, SPIDERS & OTHER PESTS CONTROL

Silverfish are nocturnal, so you may not see these insects during the day. They don't carry disease, and they do not bite. They are considered more of a 'nuisance' insect and will eat books, cardboard boxes, wallpaper, and can get into food items and even clothes. They look for areas high in moisture, like in the bathroom or an area that maybe have moisture from a leaking pipe. You may see them in the sink area when you turn on the light or under a pile of wet laundry. They fly around like they are 'swimming' in the air, which is how they got their name; however, they don't swim. Contact our pest control experts to exterminate these pests for you.

Spider

Spiders and centipedes are carnivorous insects, which means they feed on other insects. For example, if you have silverfish, fleas, roaches, ants, or other insects, spiders that are large enough will capture and eat them. There are well over a hundred species of Spiders; however, the ones we see in our area are harmless. In a rare event that a spider is threatened, their bites can cause redness, pain, and swelling, or you might not notice them at all. Many other bug bites and skin sores cause redness, pain, and swelling, so it's difficult to be certain that a spider caused your wound unless you actually saw a spider bite you. Only a few species of spiders have fangs long enough to penetrate human skin and venom strong enough to hurt humans, and we don't see these species in our area. They are more of a nuisance for us here, and we can take care of that for you by treating the outside of your home in the late spring/early summer to keep the spiders (and a few other insects) under control for the remainder of the warmer months. However, if you see spiders inside your home, our pest control technicians may choose a different solution for you.
